Founded in 2000 by Mark Bingham and visionary queer rugby pioneers, we are Northern California's premier all-inclusive rugby club.
We actively pursue the participation of people of color, gay men, and athletes of all genders and backgrounds traditionally under-represented in contact sports. Players of every skill level are welcome — including those who have never touched a rugby ball in their life.
The Fog Rugby Journey
Four progressive steps from complete beginner to official club rugger.
- Try Learn the game from scratch at Pathway to Rugby (P2R), alongside new athletes with zero previous experience. Pathway to Rugby
- Train Join the squad on Tuesday (Raymond Kimbell) and Thursday (Crocker Amazon) nights with coaches who guide beginner fundamentals. Training nights
- Play Pull on the Fog jersey for NorCal Division II league matches at Treasure Island and international Bingham Cup tournaments on tour. The season
- Belong Make it official as an Active Player or a Social Supporter, and take part in voting, governance, and club traditions. Membership options
From People Who'd Never Played Before
Every year, athletes who gave up on sports—or never thought rugby was for them—find a lifelong brotherhood in the Fog.
